Northeast Syria Market Assessment Scope of the Work: 1. Conduct a Comprehensive Field-Based Assessment across the Targeted Locations in the following Sub-Districts (Qamishly, Hassakeh, Al Malikeyyeh, Ras Al Ain Sub-Districts in Hassakeh Governorate) in Order to Identify the Vocational Skills Which are in Demand as Well as the Sectors of the Economy Which have Potential for Growth. The Consultant will Assess Both the Formal and Informal Labor out-of-Camp Markets. 2. Map Existing Value-Chains of the Targeted Markets (Size of the Market, Supply, and Demand for Products and Services) through Field-Based Assessments and Desk Review 3. Analyze the Livelihood Opportunities in the Selected Areas with a Focus on Identifying Potential Sectors that can be Expected to Lead to Employment and Self-Employment Opportunities Creation For Youth, Women, and Men. 4. Determine the Gaps in Training Interests of Youth, Women and Men and Where They Correspond with the Demands of Local Economy to Ensure Adequate Vocational Training and Employment Opportunities. 5. Assess the Avenues Available for Trained Participants to Establish Micro-Enterprises and Identify Level of Support Needed for this to Happen. 6. Determine Constraints and Barriers Faced by Vulnerable Women, Men, and Youth in the Labor Market, and Best Practices with Which to Overcome. 7. Stakeholder Mapping including Institutions, Organizations, Operating and Delivering Livelihood Services in the Area; Including Vocational Training, Financial Services and Support for Small Business Development.
